We spent the week gearing up for our basketball tournament this weekend. We had Pajama Day, Career Day, Red/Pink Valentines Day, and COR Red/Black Day (and Chinese New Year Celebrations).

Grades K-8 went to Cherry Creek Retirement Village and Life Care Center of Aurora. They did a great job telling everyone about the birth of our Savior.

End of the Year School Picnic
On the last day of school we headed out to a nearby park for Kindergarten and 8th Grade Graduation. There was also recognition for those on the honor roll, track participants, tone chimes, and Jr. Choir members. God has surely blessed our school this year!

Easter for Kids
What a great way to celebrate our Savior's resurrection! All children who attended got to do crafts, hear an Easter message from Pastor Voss, sing songs, and do other activities with their age groups. We ended the morning with an Easter Egg Hunt outside!

We read lots of Dr. Suess books, did Cat in the Hat art, and even got to eat Green Eggs and Ham!
K-2 Field Trip "Inside the Orchestra"
Students got the opportunity to hear and learn about instruments and different kinds of music at Boettcher Concert Hall.
Valentine's Day Parties
All COR students celebrated this day of love with classroom parties. It was also couch potato day of spirit week!
Preschool Field Trip to Chick-fil-A
Preschool students, Mrs. Paul, and some parents got to visit Chick-fil-A. They got to tour the kitchen, play in the play place, do a craft, and of course, eat some great chicken!
K-2 Celebrates the 100th Day of School
3-5th Graders Make Cards and Cookies for Police Officers
Grades 3-5 had a fun Friday afternoon making cookies and cards for the local police officers!! The Aurora PD even publically thanked our students on FB. See the video here.
Christmas Caroling
The whole school went caroling at Cherry Creek Retirement Village and Life Care Center. The faces there were all smiles as the residents heard the good news of Jesus' birth from the mouths of children.
Christmas for Kids
Even though we had snowy weather this year, our Christmas for Kids was still a success. Children ages 4-10 attended to sing, play games and do crafts.
6-8th Grade Students Volunteer at the Food Bank
Our 6-8 grade students volunteered at the Adams County Food Bank. The kids really let their lights shine as they helped package and distribute food to people in need.

Senior Brunch
Each year our students perform songs and put on a meal for our student's grandparents and the seniors of our congregation. This year they sang songs they had prepared, some students played piano pieces, and then we all ate brunch together.
PreK Field Trip to Hammond's Candy Factory
6-8th Grade Field Trip
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students visited the Boettcher Concert Hall to see The Drums of the World. They got to experience instruments such as steel drums from Trinidad and Tobago and Chinese gongs.
K-2 Fall Party
Our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders had a fun day of fall themed stories, games, crafts, and science projects. A few parents came in to help and join the fun! We ended the day with some great food!
King Sooper's PreK Field Trip
Children's Theater
On November 1, Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School Children's Theater performed "The Tale of the Mouse" for our student body, teachers, and parents. The high school actors did a great job!
Fall Parties
The students and teachers celebrated by wearing costumes, playing games, and trick or treating.
Hot Lunch
Once a week parents volunteer to provide hot lunch for our students.
Teacher's Conference at Estes Park
COR's teachers learned a lot (and enjoyed the scenery) at the YMCA in Estes Park where teachers from several states gathered for professional development and fellowship with other teachers in the WELS.

Curious George ate a puzzle piece! Oh no! Our preschoolers helped him check into the hospital and get the care he needed!
Learning about China
Our mission project is Friends of China. Since Mr. Scriver and his family lived there for 4 years they shared some information with the students and brought in Chinese things for the children to check out!
