Pastor Tom Engelbrecht and his family moved to Colorado from Wisconsin in September of 2020. Jackie, his wife, teaches in the PreK classroom here at COR. Together they have four children: Jonas, Silas, Lucas, and Cecily. Before coming to COR, Pastor Engelbrecht served as assimilation pastor at Christ Lutheran Church in Pewaukee, WI, for 6 years. Mrs. Jacquelyn Engelbrecht - PreK teacher
I was born and raised in a farming community in Minnesota. I remained in Minnesota through college after which I began teaching in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During this time I was married to Tom Engelbrecht. Over time, we settled in northern Illinois and were blessed with 4 children. We spent another 6 years in Wisconsin before moving to Colorado in 2020. It has been a gift from God to serve as a wife, mother and teacher. Christian education has been a big influencing factor in my life, both as a student and teacher. I pray that I can be a blessing to others while serving as Christ Our Redeemer’s preschool teacher.
One of my favorite Bible passages is from Isaiah 43:1-3 “But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” |
Mrs. Becky Feld - Office Manager
I started volunteering at COR in 1989. My volunteering turned into a part time and then a full time position as office manager for the church and school. It has been a blessing to see and be involved over the years in the growth of so many students here at COR and to see the children of past students now attending.
I grew up in Minnesota, and moved to Colorado in 1984. I have been married for over 45 years to a wonderful man I met in college. We have two children, both of whom had the privilege of attending school here at COR. My daughter is a Professor and Director of Academic Computing and Online Learning at Martin Luther College. My son went on to attend the International Baccalaureate program at Smoky Hill High School and has published his first book!
As office manager I love interacting with the people here. When not at my desk I serve as treasurer for a local mental health association and my husband and I also facilitate a family mental health support group. Sewing, quilting, cooking, and reading fill my spare time. I truly enjoy using my gifts to serve my Savior here at Christ Our Redeemer.
